The folklore behind the conception of ‘Moonlight’
Moonlight tv show ran for a single season, which was also shorter than the seasons of most shows. Generally, most of the TV shows’ seasons last 22 episodes, the animation series’ seasons even go longer than it. However, Moonlight season consisted of 16 episodes only. The series opener didn’t get a good response from the critics but was a well received one by the viewers. For many critics, the writing and acting of various actors was not satisfactory, however Jason Dohring was appraised for his performance. The WGA strike had its effect on the series and it went on a temporary hiatus. As the strike ended, the show returned with four new episodes and even before the airing of the series finale, CBS Network made an official announcement to bring the show to an end.
Okay, have you ever pondered over the concepts behind the vampire dramas? Actually, a unique vampire mythology is there behind the conventions of such kind of dramas. And, through this post, I would let you know some rules of such mythology. Do you know why vampires get activated at night more than day? The reason is sunlight. The light of the day weakens the vampires. It doesn’t kill them, but makes them weak and they can’t carry out their missions. That’s why we always see vampires biting people in the dark!
Have you ever watched the photograph of any vampire? Probably not, as it’s assumed that the analogue cameras can’t capture the images of vampires,…..don’t know, haven’t tried yet! It’s also said that in order to survive, the vampires need to feed on the blood of human beings…..they don’t eat fruits, grain or vegetables etc. How to kill a vampire? Just burn it or decapitate it, no alternative is available. The much heightened senses help the vampires to hear clearly as well as smell the past. They can also have a glimpse of the future, due to their psychic abilities.
So, above are some rules which most of the vampire dramas follow. The examples are- Moonlight, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel etc. Click here to join the website, if want to download the episodes of Moonlight and any other TV show, which you are a fan of!
